CEER response to the Commission’s consultation “On the Future of VAT – Towards a simpler, more robust and efficient VAT system”

CEER welcomes the possibility to respond to the Commission's consultation on the "Green Paper on the future of VAT - Towards a simpler, more robust and efficient VAT system". CEER is in particular concerned about the threat of VAT fraud to market integrity in the electricity and gas markets and would like to draw the Commission's attention to this issue which should be taken into account when revising the VAT regime.
