ERGEG Congestion Management Guidelines

ERGEG, following a request from the European Commission and an ERGEG formal public consultation during May and June 2005, developed guidelines on Congestion Management. ERGEG forwarded these guidelines on 28 July 2005 to the European Commission as its formal advice on these topics. A formal comitology procedure, as foreseen by Regulation 1228/2003, began in January 2006. The Commission proposal (which is not the same as the ERGEG text) in this comitology process is in large part based on the ERGEG advice.
